A baby teeth chart shows when babies might have certain teeth erupt during teething. Not every baby has their teeth erupt at the same time and same order as every other baby. Still this chart is the most common order that baby teeth erupt.
When a baby is teething this is considered the final part of eruption. Teeth will break through the jawbone then through the baby’s gum to show. In time the baby will erupt 20 teeth in their mouth with 10 teeth on top and 10 on the bottom. As a baby is teething they will have excessive drool, become more irritably, have trouble sleeping and chew on things, which are just a few pieces of evidence. There are two items that have been considered part of the signs of teething – diarrhea and fever – but this is not always the case. As baby is teething they will need comforting. They can be given soothing items to chew on, such as specialty teeters or the gums can be rubbed using a washed finger. The child can also be soothed with biter biscuit snacks or an analgesic specially developed for babies. Each tooth develops while the child is in the womb during the third and sixth months and by age 4 all tooth roots will be formed featuring the erupted teeth. Eruption of a tooth is helped with chewing food and even chewing on toys as well as toothbrushing. Teething can start at least an age six months through 30 months. The baby teeth chart shows a plan of when what teeth will erupt at what age. An example is that the first teeth are often the lower front teeth, which is listed as happening between seven and nine months. Even though this is what is listed on the plan it has been known to happen as early as six months or younger and it can happen as late at 18 or older. Sometime on a baby teeth chart there are helpful graphs along with a list of when each tooth will have fully formed roots. This is listed to happen at 20 to 22 months. The teeth are not listed as showing up in mirror image of one another either. |
